The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State. These services are provided locally by contracted agencies.
The Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging has been connecting older adults to information, resources, and services since 1980. We were created through a collaboration between Fresno County, Madera County, and the City of Fresno. We are one of 33 area agencies on aging in the state. The California Department of Aging has designated the area we serve, Fresno and Madera counties, as Planning and Service Area (PSA) 14.
