Multipurpose Senior Services Program
(MSSP) - Case Management services for frail seniors
with the goal of preventing premature instituionalization.

Homemaker and Chore Services (Title III B) -
Housekeeping services provided to frail seniors in order
to maintain them safely in their home environment. Includes
vacuuming, dusting, mopping, laundry, dishes, meal preparation,
yard work, and sometimes transportation and grocery
shopping.

Disease Prevention and Health Promotion
(Title III D) - Medication management services are offered in both Fresno and Madera counties. Physical Education is offered in southeast Fresno. Health screening is provided free to
seniors 60 years and older at various sites throughout
Madera County, including a personal health
history; a review of eating habits and nutrition needs;
measurement of height and weight, blood pressure, and
pulse; vision and hearing screening; and an examination of
feet, skin, and mouth. A review of the findings is provided, including
referrals to doctors and other agencies, counseling
about health risks, and and a wellness plan.

Elder Abuse Prevention - Educational
seminars and printed materials disseminated to the community
regarding elder abuse, how to recognize it, and where
to report it.

and Advocacy Program (HICAP) - Objective counseling
and education provided to Medicare beneficiaries
on Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare health
maintenance organizations and long-term care insurance.
All services are provided without charge.
